Living in Hawkstone
Hawkstone is within the town of Lithia,approximately 18 miles southeast of Tampa. This neighborhood is part of the Fish Hawk census-designated place, which has a population of roughly 25,000 people. Hawkstone itself will have a total of 1,047 homes when fully built.
Location
Hawkstone is located between Balm-Boyette Road and Boyette Road, close to I-75. This makes it an easy commute to Tampa, which typically takes around 40 minutes. Tampa International Airport is also close, typically a 50-minute drive. Many service members choose to live in the region, given Lithia’s proximity to MacDill Air Force Base.
Hawkstone does not have its own retail center, after Hillsborough County Commissioners waived the requirement. However, there are plenty of shopping opportunities in nearby FishHawk Ranch. This includes the FishHawk Crossing Shopping Center, the Shops of FishHawk, and Park Square Plaza.
Community and Home Features
Hawkstone is a new master-planned community within Lithia. It offers over 20 different floor plans, including many move-in-ready floor plan options. The homes range in size from 1,850 to 4,828 square feet.
The houses in Hawkstone are built by West Bay Homes. It includes both the higher-end Artisan Series (a gated section of larger homes within Hawkstone) and more affordable homes built by Casa Fresca (a division of West Bay Homes). These homes are built on lots that range in size from 50 to 70 feet wide.
All of the homes in Hawkstone feature modern, flexible floor plans, complete with open living spaces, primary suites, and gourmet kitchens. Depending on the floor plan selected, the home may also have a covered lanai, formal dining room, den, and/or a sunroom. The homes are priced starting in the low $400,000s for the Casa Fresca series to up to $1,300,000 for the Artisan Series.
Hawkstone does have a homeowners association (HOA), with fees ranging from $35.15 to $254 quarterly. There are also community development district (CDD) fees of $2,760.33 to $3,864.47 annually. The community does have many amenities, including:
- A lagoon pool with a splash pad
- A dog park
- A playground
Some of the home sites also include water and/or wetland views.
Schools
Hawkstone is part of the Hillsborough County School District within Lithia. Students living in this community are zoned to top-rated public schools, Pinecrest Elementary School, Barrington Middle School, and Newsome High School. There are also two private schools in Lithia, St. Stephen’s Catholic School and Foundation Christian Academy.
Things To Do
Hawkstone is a residential neighborhood. Within the community, residents can take advantage of the resort-style amenities or simply take a walk through the beautiful, well-maintained neighborhood.
This community is close to nature. If you want to go hiking, fishing, boating, or horseback riding, Hawkstone isn’t far from the Triple Creek Nature Preserve, Lithia Springs Park, the FishHawk Creek Nature Preserve, and the Alafia River State Park. It is also an easy drive to West Central Florida’s many gorgeous Gulf Coast beaches.
More broadly, Lithia is known as a family-friendly town. There are many options for residents when it comes to outdoor recreation, including community pools, parks and playgrounds, tennis courts, and sports complexes. There are also many gyms, restaurants, and shopping areas throughout Lithia.
Lithia is also close to Tampa. If you want to go to a show, see a professional sporting event, or go out for a night on the town, you can be in the city within 30 to 40 minutes. Other great attractions, like Busch Gardens, ZooTampa, and the Florida Aquarium, are also close to Lithia. If you want to get out of town completely, the Tampa International Airport is less than an hour away.
