The 3rd and smallest incorporated municipality in Hillsborough County, Temple Terrace is known for its rolling landscape and massive oak trees. Temple Terrace has the most Grand Sand Live Oak trees in central Florida and is a Tree City USA as designated by the Arbor Day Foundation. Temple Terrace was one of the first planned golf communities in the United States and the Temple Terrace Golf Club hosted the first Florida Open in 1925. The city is dedicated to its heritage and committed to providing its residents with a strong sense of community. Located just north of Tampa, commuters will find easy access to the areas 3 freeways. As more areas become developed, the city focuses on growing while still maintaining the quality of life residents have come to love. If you are out driving in Temple Terrace, don't be surprised to find residents walking, biking and even using golf carts as alternate forms of transportation- the entire community was designated as Florida's 1st Multimodal Transportation District and many streets offer bike lanes and slower speed limits for safety.
