Armed service members make tremendous sacrifices for our country. Relocating during active duty or after discharge is an added challenge for military families. With unique lifestyles and needs, military families need to know that their real estate agent can help provide a smooth transition to ease some of the burdens of relocating.
With MacDill Air Force Base located in South Tampa, many military families are seeking housing in the Tampa area. At Eaton Realty, we realize that these families have unique needs, and our MRP-designated realtors are prepared to help military families with their specialized home-buying and selling needs.
MRP stands for “Military Relocation Professional.” MRP is a certification that individual realtors earn through specialized training in the unique needs of relocating armed service members and military families. MRP realtors have the knowledge to help active duty service members and veterans transition quickly and with less stress on the buying and selling end of the real estate process.
As an armed service member, there are many benefits to working with an MRP realtor. MRP realtors have an understanding of home buying and selling aspects that are specific to military members, including:
An experienced MRP realtor will make service members feel confident that their housing needs will be met and that they will receive all the support, services, and benefits they qualify for.
Many realtors are former military or come from military families, and their personal experience with the housing transitions military families go through can be invaluable. However, although they may understand the housing processes and struggles that military families go through, there is no guarantee that they have a broad knowledge of the housing resources available to military families.
Working with an MRP realtor is the best way to ensure you’ll receive all the benefits you’re entitled to as a military member. Realtors undergo training to receive their MRP certification and must meet specific requirements to validate their expertise in assisting military members. The certification process and requirements include:
